# Why Markets Can Forecast

Markets are powerful tools for aggregating information. Every participant enters a market with different knowledge, experiences and expectations.

When participants buy and sell based on those expectations, they contribute information to the market.

As trading occurs, prices adjust to reflect changing views about future outcomes. This process helps transform many individual perspectives into a collective market view.

No market can predict the future with certainty. However, markets can provide useful signals about what participants currently believe is most likely to happen.

Glimpse uses this principle to generate live forecasts that update as market expectations change.

The result is a continuously evolving view of how the market sees the future.
